Privacy Notice

We attach great importance to data protection. The collection and processing of personal data is carried out in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With the exception of the data listed below, no data is collected about visitors to our website that could be used to identify a natural person.

If personal data is collected within the website, consent is requested in advance. If personal data is processed in individual cases, any data subject may at any time request information about the personal data processed about them and the possible recipients of this data to whom it has been transmitted. The information must be provided within one month of receiving the request for information. Please contact the person responsible for the collection, processing and use of your personal data. If you wish to object to the collection, processing or use of your data by us in accordance with these data protection provisions as a whole or for individual measures, you can address your objection to the responsible party.

We have taken all necessary and appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Should you nevertheless believe that the right to the protection of personal data has been violated, the University's Data Protection Officer or the Saxon Data Protection Officer are available as a complaints office.

We would like to point out that data transmission, especially by e-mail, via the Internet is currently largely unsecured. It cannot be ruled out that transmitted data may be read and possibly even falsified by unauthorised persons.

We use cookies to facilitate the use of our website. Cookies are small text files that can be stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive and are helpful for the use of our website. Our cookies do not store any personal data. You can set your Internet browser to prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive or to ask you each time whether you agree to the setting of cookies. Use of analytics services

We use the web analysis programme Matomo. This program enables us to record the use of our website and to optimise it if necessary. The programme uses cookies for this purpose (see above). The usage information obtained in this way is forwarded to our server together with your IP address and stored for the purpose of analysing usage behaviour. During this process, your IP address is immediately anonymised so that we cannot draw any conclusions about you as a user. The information obtained in this way is not passed on to third parties. You can change the settings of your browser software to prevent cookies from being used. In this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent.

To deactivate tracking and the storage of anonymised usage information, you can activate the so-called Do Not Track setting in your browser settings or uncheck the following checkbox.
